April, 2014: My Presidential Address for Koramanagala Toastmasters Club Newsletter

Dear Readers,

Communication is a skill that you can learn. It’s like riding a bicycle or typing. If you’re willing to work at it, you can rapidly improve the quality of every part of your life. At Koramangala Toastmasters, we strive to learn and lead through our communication track. We take advantage of every opportunity to practice our communication skills so that when important occasions arise, we will have the gift, the style, the sharpness, the clarity, and the emotions to affect other people. In last two and half years around 200 people have joined our initiative to nurture their communication and leadership skills and we aim to touch lives of much larger audience in coming future.

Koramangala Toastmasters, located in the heart of Bangalore has produced some excellent speakers who have made us proud not only in Bangalore but beyond regional and national boundaries. Yes, our members have represented our club at district level International Speech Contest in India as well as outside India.

A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work. The only thing that stands between you and your dream is the will to try and the belief that it is actually possible. We must remember that no one is going to hand us success. We must go out & get it ourselves. That’s why we are here. To dominate. To conquer. Both the world and ourselves.
