#52Weeks52Books Mission Accomplished – Journey Ahead

A research from University of Scranton says that 92% people fail to achieve their New Year’s goals. And, I was one of them for the year 2017. I had taken up a challenge to read 50 book in 52 weeks of 2017 but I failed miserably. In the beginning of 2018, I was not sure whether I should continue to this challenge or I should go down and reduce the target. A deliberate thought on this prompted me not to reduce the target but to increase it further. The fun is not to achieve something less but to achieve BIG and hence I took the challenge #52Weeks52Books. A new target, a bigger target was set. And today I am not just happy but ecstatic as I completed my target very comfortably. Now I am part of those 8% who actually achieve their New Year’s goals.

What’s Next? What’s for 2019?

Yes, that’s what I have been thinking through out December 2018 when I knew I am going to complete my target #52Weeks52Books comfortably. The first thought was to continue this fun-filled learning experience in 2019 as well. #52Weeks52Books will again be a target in 2019. But, this time along with learning, sharing will also be on agenda. I have decided to create 52 short videos on different subjects that I have learned in last 3 years. #525Weeks52Videos is another challenge for 2019. It will answer questions such as:

  • Bangalore wouldn’t have been a city if French revolution wouldn’t have happened – Can YOU connect these dots?
  • When you drive in a city, you get exhausted but if you drive on a highway you get refreshed – How a single activity has completely different impact on your mind and body?
  • A snake swallows its own eggs but a cow sacrifices her life for her calf – how different species react differently to same situation?
  • And so ON…

Along with these videos, I also plan to write a book titled, “What Did I Learn From 100 Best Selling Books of All Time?”. #1Book100Lessons is another target for 2019.

So, for 2019 my target would be:

  • #52Weeks52Books
  • #52Weeks52Videos
  • #1Book100Lessons
