Traveling is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent. It is one of the best ways to rejuvenate yourself, transform yourself, and enlighten yourself about different cultures, traditions and personalities.

Good travelers don’t make plans; they challenge themselves; explore new avenues;  experience new landscapes and create new memories. We all must travel, as much as possible, to discover ourselves and discover rest of the planet. Often we get carried away by our nine-to-five job and fixed weekend plans; and end up complaining about stress, frustration and anxiety. Traveling gives us opportunity to break the barriers of our preconceived ideas of life; to get ourselves unplugged from day-to-day anxieties.

Every journey is unique in its own way and there are plenty of reasons as why we should experience as many journeys as possible. As an avid traveler I find traveling as an essential part of life, much like water and air. The chirping sounds of the birds, the songs of the rivers, the howling of animals; they all rejuvenate my connection with mother earth. I not just admire the beauty of nature but also feel my existence as being part of one of them. Traveling deepens my connection with my friends and family (co-travelers). It helps me create new memories that I can cherish for my entire life. And with the advent of new technologies we can relive our journey as many times as we want. Isn’t it amazing?

Travelling helps me to appreciate the great diversity of people, their individual and social perspective of life. We accumulate prejudices and biases during our daily course of life and traveling helps us to rise above them, to admire the freedom of individuality to respect values that we all (humans) bring on this world.
